John Biles was a Blacksmith. His forge was at 31, West Street, Bere Regis. In 1844 both 31 and 32 West Street, described as a house and yard, were occupied by his son William. John and Charles Biles carried on the business and by 1880 it had become Biles and Kellaway.

My Great, Great Grandfather James Biles was also a Blacksmith but does not appear to have been part of the business. He may have been a Blacksmith in the Militia. If you have links to this line, or any information to share please contact me.
